Reopen an existing project
What you will do
Section titled “What you will do”Return to the project list, open an existing project again, and check that its imported photos are still present.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”Sign in to Arams and have a project containing imported photos. This walkthrough uses Reopen portrait session, with maxine-01.jpg and maxine-02.jpg imported as full-resolution JPEGs (6064 × 4040 pixels).
The steps were checked on Windows with the English interface in Arams 1.11.0-dev.3, by leaving and reopening a project during the same app session.
- If a project is open, click the left-pointing arrow immediately to the left of its name at the top of the photo area. The project list appears.
- Find the card with your project’s name. In this example, the card reads Reopen portrait session and 2 photos. The card may show No cover, as in the screenshot; identify it by its name and photo count.
- Double-click the project card, away from the trash icon in its lower-right corner.
- Wait for the project to finish loading. Its name and photo grid appear; the loading spinner and overlay should disappear before you continue.
Check the result
Section titled “Check the result”The heading shows Reopen portrait session and the counter shows 2 photos. Both portrait thumbnails are present in the grid. In this example, Previous Import is selected and shows 2, and All Folders also shows 2.
The first photo has a blue selection outline and the counter reads 1 selected. This is the selection shown in the example; the important check is that both imported photos are present. You do not need to import them again or click Analyze 2, Retouch preview, or Export to reopen the project.
If it does not work
Section titled “If it does not work”If a loading spinner or overlay is still visible, wait for it to disappear before checking the result. Thumbnails can already be visible underneath the loading overlay.
If the heading names a different project, use the same left-pointing arrow to return to the project list and double-click the intended card.
If the card is missing, or the expected photos do not appear after loading, this walkthrough’s expected result has not been reached. Recovery of missing projects or photos, reopening after restarting Arams, and opening moved project files have not been verified here.
