Activate an existing plugin
What you will do
Section titled “What you will do”Activate an installed plugin on this computer using an activation already available in your account. The example uses Heal v.1212.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”These steps were verified in Arams 1.10.2 on Windows with the English interface. Sign in to the account that owns the plugin. The plugin must already be installed, with Not activated in its Status column, an available Activation Keys count, and an enabled Activate button.
Activation uses an available key: in this example the count changed from 3 to 2. Your count may differ. You do not need to import a photograph to activate the plugin.
- From the workspace, open Settings using the gear button.
- Select Plugins in the left sidebar.
- Find Heal in the table. Check its Version, Status, Activation Keys, and Action in the same row. In the example, Heal shows v.1212, Not activated, 3, and Activate.
- Click Activate in the Heal row.
- Wait for that row to show Activated. Its Activate button becomes disabled, and the available key count updates.
- Use the back arrow at the upper left of Settings to return to the workspace.
Check the result
Section titled “Check the result”In Settings → Plugins, the same plugin should show Activated with a disabled Activate button. In the example, Heal remains v.1212 and Activation Keys shows 2. A later session also showed this activated state without another activation.
To check that the plugin can retouch a photograph, continue with Process a photograph locally. Heal was selectable in Local mode and produced a visible retouch preview in the verified example, using an original full-resolution JPEG. That separate task explains selection, preview completion, and comparison with the original.
If activation is unavailable
Section titled “If activation is unavailable”- Activated with a disabled Activate button is the completed state. Continue to local retouching; another activation is unnecessary.
- Not installed with Download is a different starting state. This chapter covers an installed plugin; downloading and installing a plugin were not verified in this example.
- If your plugin is missing, has no available activation keys, or remains Not activated, the prerequisites or expected result have not been met. Note the displayed status and any error message. Recovery from these conditions was not verified in this workflow.
